ECONNECTIONS is a small eco-tour organization based in Boulder, Colorado. We specialize in small groups (usually no more than 20), cultural exchange, involvement with nature, and fun. We have organized tours to South Texas Coast (wildflowers and wildlife), Belize, Hawaii, Australia, Europe, Ecuador/Galapagos, Costa Rica, and the South Pacific. We are considering tours to Indonesia, China, New Zealand, and Egypt.
ECONNECTIONS is operated by Lois and Stan Kruschwitz. Lois specializes in marine biology, animal behavior, and ecology and is a biology professor. Stan is a counseling psychologist who has an undergraduate degree in anthropology. Lois and Stan have travelled extensively throughout the world and have been taking groups on trips on a parttime basis since 1981. They are convinced that world travel contributes to world understanding and to personal growth. They are also believe that the world faces major environmental challenges and that eco-tourism can assist countries with conservation. We wish to impact the host environment as little as possible and support the local economy as much as possible!
A part of Econnections is the Alpine Center, a mountain lodge between Winter Park and Granby, Colorado. It is a place for ecology camps, winter skiing experiences, and summer fun in the Rockies.
